About the United Church Earth Stewards:

Comprised of members of the United Churches of Abbotsford, Mission, and Aldergrove, BC, the United Church Earth Stewards initiate and support efforts to save the planet. Their mission statement: "To be spiritually, mentally and physically involved in the stewardship of the Earth"

Since 2019, the United Church Earth Stewards have been raising funds to plant trees. To date, they have raised over $10,000 for planting trees at Willband Creek Park in cooperation with City of Abbotsford staff. In addition to tree-planting, they monitor the activities of groups working on water issues, the light rail project, and the Sue Big Oil initiative. Early this year members of their group met with our new mayor to discuss issues pertaining to the environmental impacts of local development.
