SOLD OUT | Oodles of Noodles Cooking Class
This event took place in October 2023.
Spiritual Path to Awakening (SPA) invites lifelong learners in the community to join us for Oodles of Noodles Cooking Class: an intimate, hands-on experience led by local program leader Rose Soneff.
Stuck on pasta? There are Asian noodles made of rice, mung bean, sweet potato and buckwheat that will open up a new range of menu items for you to discover. In this 3-hour class, you will make four dishes: Pad Thai, Vietnamese Salad, Korean Japche, and Japanese Soba Salad. Sit down after and enjoy the fruits of your labour with your fellow cooks and have enough of your dishes to share with your family.
The Dishes:
- Pad Thai
- Vietnamese Salad
- Korean Japche
- Japanese Soba Salad
*Kindly note: the dishes made in class will be vegetarian.
This is a hands-on course and recipes will be provided. Bring an apron and four reusable containers (able to fit 2 cups each) to take your noodles home. Optional, bring along your favourite paring knife if desired.

About the Program Leader:
Rose Soneff is a retired Dietitian with a love for cooking and traveling. When first moving to Canada from the Philippines in the 1960’s, many ingredients from the orient were hard to find, often adaptations had to be made. This interest continues today. Get some tips with dishes from her travels being reinvented into other tasty dishes.
