The Republic of the Philippines, is an archipelagic country in Southeast Asia consisting of 7,641 islands. Colonizers and immigrants from Malay, Polynesia, Spain, China, Japan and recently, the USA, have influenced a unique flavour, different from other Asian countries. In this 2 and 1/2 hour session, “The Taste of the Philippines” will focus on the culture and food of Central Luzon, in the north, Rose’s ancestral home. Rose will demonstrate unique aspects of each dish then the group will enjoy having samples through the session. Sit back, listen, and just enjoy wonderful food!
